TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENT
We want to thank you for choosing PTHomeServices. Below you’ll find the terms of service that you agree to at the time of booking. We’re so excited that you decided to go through us to provide you with a professional independent local house cleaner.
Price during initial booking is subject
to change
We base our prices on the information you provide us with; therefore, the
amount you are initially booked for is subject to change if your cleaning
professional arrives and finds that the booking was not representative of the
work required. For instance, if the amount of rooms that require cleaning was
not recorded properly on the booking form or your home actually requires a deep
cleaning instead of a standard cleaning you will be notified that your booking
and payment will be adjusted accordingly.
Arrival Window
We provide the cleaning professionals and our customers with a 2-hour arrival
window for their scheduled appointment. This is to ensure that there is always
enough time to make appointments should changes need to take place onsite for a
booking that requires an extended appointment time, traffic or other delays.
For example, if you schedule your booking at 12:00PM-2:00PM this means that
your cleaner can arrive anytime between that 2 hour time frame. If your cleaner
arrives at 2:00PM he or she is still on time for your scheduled appointment.
Please plan accordingly if you want to be there during the cleaning and if not
we can always arrange for access in your absence.
24-Hour Cancellation/Reschedule Policy
We require that cancellations and/or rescheduled appointments are made at least
48-hours from your time of service to avoid incurring a $50 cancellation fee. This
fee increases to 50% of the job value when done after 5pm the day prior to the
service.Your independent cleaner reserved a time specifically to care for your
home, cancelling less than 24 hours makes it difficult for them to acquire
additional work to replace that income.
Inaccessibility
Please ensure cleaners have full access to the premises on the day of your scheduled cleaning (this includes access to running water and electricity, being able to complete the job without interruption from other service providers in the home, and beloved pets are not in the way of the cleaning, etc). In the event they arrive for your scheduled cleaning and find themselves unable to access the home or unable to clean, there will be a $50 fee for the time and travel.
Parking Accessibility
This is usually only an issue in CBD areas where parking is a challenge. We do require a place to park close to your front door so your cleaning is uninterrupted. At any time where cleaners have no choice but to use paid parking we will ask for your agreement prior and add the cost onto your final invoice. Otherwise, we have the right to cancel/reschedule service if no parking is available.
First Time/One Time Cleanings
If it is your first time with our agency or it is your first time being matched
to a particular cleaner we recommend that you meet with your cleaning pro at
your home, go on a walk-through and explain any preferences before starting.
Although it’s not required by our agency, we do recommend that all first
time/one time cleanings remain or meet the cleaners at their home after service
is completed to go through a final walk-thru. This allows you the opportunity
to request any changes so they can be made right then, especially if your
cleaning is time sensitive such as, before events, moving out, etc. A walk-thru
also permits you to decide whether a re-match is necessary moving forward. Once
you are comfortable with your cleaners quality of service it will not be
necessary to remain or meet with them at your home for a final walk-thru.
Discounts
Our weekly, semi-weekly or monthly discounts apply once your first time service
is completed. You must book recurring service at the start of your
initial/first booking to receive the recurring discount on your following
services. If you cancel recurring appointments without rescheduling within a
close time window to your original appointment we reserve the right to charge
you the difference since the agreement to book with us weekly, semi-weekly or
monthly was not fulfilled to receive the discount. If you book a recurring
service and find that you cancel/reschedule often we will recommend that you
opt for a more appropriate cleaning frequency that matches your needs better.
Payment is due after services are
rendered
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. The credit card or
debit card that we keep on file for you will be charged the day services are
rendered. The day before your cleaning takes place there will be a hold placed
on your card for the agreed upon amount. This is not a charge, this is just a
verification of funds. You will receive an invoice via email once the charge is
made. If the card provided has insufficient funds we reserve the right to
cancel your cleaning unless a new card with available funds is provided
immediately to secure your appointment.
Uncontrollable Circumstances
Please consider that there are unforeseen/unpredictable circumstances that may
arise with your cleaner. Some of these circumstances include, car accidents,
sudden illness and death in the family. In an event that an unforeseen circumstance
takes place we will reschedule your cleaning for another day as soon as
possible. It’s recommended that you always anticipate these rare occurrences by
planning cleanings in advance of events, move out date’s, etc. We cannot be
held responsible for any outcomes from your cleaners inability to work;
however, we will do everything we can to accommodate you with a different
cleaner as soon as possible.
Right to Refuse Service
Our agency and your cleaner(s) reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.
For example: discriminatory, racist or harassing behavior, dangerous or harmful
home conditions, illegal activity taking place on the premises, and aggressive
or overly friendly pets are all valid reasons for service refusal.
Right to Reschedule
If your cleaning requires an extended amount of time that cannot be
accommodated the day of service we reserve the right to reschedule the
additional cleaning time on a different day. To prevent this from happening
it’s important that your booking accurately reflects the state of your home.
Soliciting Your Cleaner
Soliciting your cleaner to work directly with you is is strictly prohibited
without going through Smiles Are Maid Cleaning Agency. Your cleaner signed a
referral contract agreement that prohibits them from working directly with any
client obtained through Smiles Are Maid Cleaning Agency for a period of 12
months following termination of their association with our agency. If you wish
to work directly with a cleaner you must contact our office to make the
arrangements and pay the required private placement fee. By agreeing to our
terms of service agreement at the time of booking you understand that you are
in violation of this agreement if you participate in solicitation. Please do
not do so as we will legally enforce this contract with all parties involved.
We are not your cleaner’s employer
Although we can help facilitate communication and resolution between you and
your cleaner regarding any issues that arise, we cannot be held accountable for
anything that results from their time with you. Your cleaner provides service
as an independent cleaning professional and is therefore responsible for their
own actions, quality of work and anything that results from their work.
Before and After Photos
Your cleaners may take before and after photos of your house cleaning to
support the quality of service that they delivered to you. These photos will
only be of areas and items cleaned. Confidential or personal information will
not be recorded in any photos.
About These Terms
We may modify these terms or any additional terms that apply to a service to, for example, reflect changes to the law or changes to our services. You should look at the terms of service regularly. We’ll post notice of modifications to these terms on this page. We’ll post notice of modified additional terms in the applicable service. Changes will not apply retroactively and will become effective no sooner than fourteen days after they are posted. However, changes addressing new functions for a service or changes made for legal reasons will be effective immediately. If you do not agree to the modified terms of our service, you should discontinue your use of our service.
